Invisalign® What to Expect
The Invisalign Process
The first step in the Invisalign® process involves taking a mold of your mouth at our Indianapolis, IN area dentist office. We send the mold through specialized Invisalign® software to determine how your teeth should look after treatment. These will plan your treatment accurately.
With this specialized software, you can see each treatment plan step, tracking your teeth’s movements with each set of aligners. We will send the files to the Invisalign® laboratory, generating several sets of clear plastic aligners to be worn for a specified amount each day.
The number of aligners and length of your Invisalign® treatment depends on the problem(s) we’re addressing and the desired result.
You will return to our Indianapolis, IN cosmetic dentistry office to obtain your first set of aligners and then return every 2 weeks for your next set. While you should remove the aligners for eating and cleaning your teeth, wear your aligners most of the day (23 hours a day is suggested).
